Over the next five years, from 2027 through 2031, I'm growing Biz 2 Market from a part-time side business into a full-time Boise marketing agency.

I've run B2M on nights and weekends since 2010. I took on a few clients at a time, built their plans, and kept my day job in media sales. That worked for a long time. But the calls keep coming, and the local businesses I work with deserve someone who can pick up the phone at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday. So I'm making it official.

Where I'm coming from

I learned marketing behind the counter of my parents' grocery store in southeast Idaho. Shawn's Market carried about 5,000 items, and if something didn't sell, we felt it that week. You learn fast what a sign in the window or an ad in the paper is actually worth.

From there I went into banking at Wells Fargo and KeyCorp, then ten years at The Home Depot and HD Supply managing product lines worth hundreds of millions in sales. Most recently I sold radio, TV and digital advertising here in Boise at KTVB and Lotus Boise. I've sat on both sides of the table: the business owner trying to stretch a budget, and the media rep trying to sell them a package.

That's the gap B2M fills. I'm not tied to one station or one platform. I look at your business and your budget and tell you where the money should go.

What full-time means for you

If you own a small or mid-size business in the Treasure Valley, here's what changes:

  • More time on your account. Faster turnaround on campaigns, reports and the small fixes that pile up.
  • One person who sees the whole picture. Google, Meta, LinkedIn, radio, TV, print, your website and your Google Business Profile, planned together instead of bought piece by piece.
  • Plans you can afford. Most of my clients invest between $500 and $5,000 a month. I build to your number, not a rate card.
  • Real reporting. You'll know what your ads brought in, in plain English.
  • Events too. B2M now plans business events, weddings, anniversaries and holiday parties, start to finish.

The five-year road

I'm not flipping a switch overnight. Here's how I'm pacing it:

  1. 2027: Build the base. Take on more local clients, practice what I preach with B2M's own marketing, and keep every current client happy.
  2. 2028: Go full-time. Step fully into B2M and set regular office hours for clients.
  3. 2029: Add help. Bring in trusted partners for design, video and photography so clients get more under one roof.
  4. 2030: Grow the team. Hire locally as the client list supports it.
  5. 2031: A full Boise agency. An established shop that local businesses think of first when they need marketing that pays for itself.

Growing with the community

Growing B2M was never only about me. This October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Biz2Market.org is donating 7% of net proceeds from every dollar collected this month.

I'm also working alongside two women-owned, all-natural Boise businesses: Borah Botanicals for facial care and Just Pure Minerals for makeup. Helping local owners like them reach more customers is exactly the kind of work I want B2M doing full-time.

Let's talk

If you've been meaning to get your marketing sorted out, now's a good time. I'm booking 2027 planning sessions, and the first conversation is free.
